piano hint is posted by adventure very early. Thanks for the hints you guys but I still have no idea how to open safe. I have no notes to play on piano to count intervals. How did you figure out note placement?

Hi RBS to figure out note placement you have to have the note from the book in the middle of the bookshelf - shake it a lot, and when you stop shaking it a note will appear. You can then transcribe the notes played on the piano. Once they are transcribed, then you can count the steps in between. Remember to include the original and ending note in your steps.

Some Latin translations:

From note in closet: "from the outside to the inside"
On safe in closet: The wise man can figure out that which confuses a donkey (translated from a Russian site, so not sure how accurate that is)

For example, from a D to an A

The first note is the D, and, you go counting from the place where it is, to the place where the A is. You count both the lines and the spaces between each note, plus the place where the note is situated. So, from a D to an A, the number corresponding would be 5.
