I did it and got both endings. I probably shouldn't admit to this but

I use a calculator for games with a lot of math.

geesh...totally forgot my basic algebra there!!! I kept doing

the addition

first!!!

so the equation works out to

35 (for the star) plus 24 (from the fish)...but you have to MULTIPLY first, so you take 24x3=72+35=107 for the pirate ending and 24x5=120+35=155 for the prince ending

I got out too thanks to Mistery's reminder about order of operation in math. Game sorta tarnishes the image of mermaids...is it true love if she grabbed onto whoever got there first? Prince or Pirate who cares. gimme a ring and a flower...LOL.
