I'm not aware of language barrier in this game but who knows if there is any...

You can select the white text on the black background in game and than right click with mouse on it -> copy -> paste in babelfish translator -> taddam! you got the translation...sort of

and seen

The ruler is in the view of the couch. There is a little line at the base of the wall on the left.

All I have is blue cap jar and pill from it, cup and ruler....

Edit...Found key, but, it doesn't open the red box???
