You open the box at the very end. You'll have to find and do other things before.
For the drink:

you need smashed ice in mixer, add twice rum and juice.

You have to mix first a drink for yourself and melt the ice in that way (see earlier posts how you do this).

I already mixed the drink but didn't use the ice.. now i cant click on any of the glasses or the mixer, do i start over?

No, no! What happens if you click the ice cube from your inventory to examine it? Is it still frozen?

Okay, then you missed other things that you'll have to do, e.g.

find 2 other rings
find suitcase, open it and find a card (use this card at window)
lift up red book to find key
open commode with key and find small box
find cell phone
etc.

Okay, if you turn to the bar, you see it first from the bottom. Then you can

choose 3 different view points (left, center, right side of bar). You click to see the left side. There is a metallic box (a freezer) at the left edge of bar. Open it and take ice cube. Right behind the freezer at the wall there is the mixer that you also have to take, or do you have it already?

If you made yourself a "DOUBLE frozen daiquiri" (if it's not this then add some more rume and/or juice and/or ice) and you used the phone the ice-cube should be melt when you enlarge it (Button: examine it). Or maybe you miss other objects from inventory?

Further things to do:

find 2 other rings
open suitcase
use ice pick next to martini glass at right side of bar to make a hole. Put empty martini glass from your inventory in this hole, use corkscrew on it.
