right, I'm mega stuck.
I've got the knife (used on log), potion (used on log), 2 logs (used 1), broom, photo, bowling ball, paper (used to get code), scroll (used to repair book) and now I can't get any further. I know I need coal which I can't find. Can't find uses for the other log, bowling ball , photo or broom so far.

HELP?

sounds to me like you are ready to cork the log and put it in the furnace. Once its in hold the bowling ball to the furnace opening and off you go

not quite sure where you are now, so I write down the whole processing, put log on the table beside the furnace, use knife to drill a hole on it, put the flask of brown thing in it, and coal, and stopper, put the log in the furnace, then the bowling, that's it.

kinda pointless making them gettable it seems?

Why can't I get this stupid dust I know the spot but can't get.

I just can't seem to get the dust from the floor.

EDIT - I got it.

Here is a hint for those who will have a problem getting the dust.

First get the scroll and attach it to the book on the desk. Then you will be able to read what is written on the paper. Then use the broom on the floor below the gas furnace and get the dust/coal

i keep trying to put the scroll on the book but it won't ;is there a certain spot on the book help

I had problems with that, but you need the scroll from the safe and not the piece of paper you get first. The first paper contains the code for the safe after you do something to it.
