The walkthrough gives the answer. Although I preferred to figure out the numbers myself, you just have to click on the squares in the order given in the walkthrough.

I read the walk through and I don't know how to combine the pickaxe head and the stick because when I double clicked them I just got this information box about each item one at a time in the inventory but they didn't combine and I couldn't use it to break the wall. What's up with that?

I know what to do I just don't know how to do it. Do you have to push some really weird keys on the keyboard or what. Double clicking the icon doesn't seem to work.

Help on the safe

I see most of you are having trouble with the safe. Here is how to work it:

The numbers are MOD10* added with the number on the right.

So if you have:

2058
||||
1234

Then you click #2 and you get:

2558

Or, if you click #3, you get:

2038

I hope you understand!!!

MOD is short for MODular division, and you basically divide 'x' by 'y' and keep the remainder when you have (x)MODy. E.g.(22)MOD5=4, (946)MOD3=1, and (99999998)MOD2=0. I hope you get the message.

This may be too complicated...

jhgming: If this is the first time you play this sort of game, it's OK. you need to insert the (chop)stick into the pickhead. Therefore, try zooming in on the pickhead and using the chopstick in the hole. If you still can't combine them, PM me.
