If I remember correctly, the paper clips are

to the right of the portal, not immediately next to it.

Lightbulb

lightbuld found under right pedistal in third room, matches with orby thing... Bulb goes in second room, more codes

I can't plug it in. I tried plugging it into the hole in the floor and the rectangle on the wall, but neither works.

No...I haven't found a lamp. I guess I should look for that first.

go to the room where you got the paint and 2 other things. click down on the right column and you'll get a lamp

The lamp is under the same column as the paint? I don't see it...

In the room where you see the 3 pedestals, you need to click the bottom part of the 3rd one (the right one). Then it will move up, and you'll find the lamp under it

That's where I found the paint, but no lamp.

I think (and if I remember well) the paint

was on top of the pedestal, not under it
