I don't know if you figured it out or not but, you can slow down the letters in that first room by clicking the red buttons

first. Then the letters slow down as it nears the one you want.

I have no idea what I'm doing in the purple room. I see a pink spot on the table and I got the "hinge" note.

The one you see is the last one you want to click - there are two other spots on either corner of the table that don't light up when you move your mouse over them

well, I'm just starting and already I can tell I hate the background music. I hope hearing the sounds in this game is not necessary because I have to turn speakers off or I go crazy

Walkthrough:
First thing's first: turn on the map (bottom left corner of the game screen, big letters, can't miss it).

Click wall poster, zoom in on numbers at bottom. Make note of these.
Back up, click bottom of screen.
Click under table.
Get detergent.
Open detergent details (highlight and click Item button)
Click nozzle two times to get screwdriver.
Close item screen, get note from behind couch.
Back up, click right two times.
Click plant.
Click bottom of screen, get key.
Back up, click bottom of screen.
Look under rightmost pillow, get Roman numerals note.
Back up, click right one time.
Zoom in on panel on wall beside door.
Set symbols to form equation with Roman numerals.

X-VIII = II

Click top of panel.
Use key in slot.
Back up, go through door.
In hallway, click left two times, then click bottom of screen.
Get note.
Back up, click left, then go down hall and turn left to enter...

Click shelf.
Click space shuttle twice to rotate.
Click bottom of screen.
Get note from beside books.
Take wooden box.
Back up to original room view.
Notice boxes on top of shelf.
Open wooden box details and set handles to match boxes.
Open box.
Take hemisphere.
Use hemisphere in circle on opposite wall.
Open panel.
Take note.
Turn head sideways and get code.
Back up.
Turn left.
Click hallway.
Click panel on wall.
Click the red buttons in order to spell EASY.
Press blue S to start letters spinning, press button below each letter to stop that letter. Spelling EASY with the red buttons first will slow the letters down when the one you need gets close. (thanks, Michelle!)

Click spots on tablecloth in order from poster in first room.

Spots on left and right do not light up on mouseover, just click both of them and then the middle spot that does light up to remove tablecloth.

Back up.

Click "hinge" in panel on wall - is actually note.
Click panel on right side of wall.
Use note from panel to enter code.

Click left, then click bottom of screen to view bed.
Click left bottom of bed.
Click black triangle.
Back up.
Click right bottom of bed.
Get note.

Click bed to move to far wall.
Click right two times.
Enter corridor.
Go through door (is not locked).
Back in first room.

Go through each room and find and click the letter in that room. According to the note from the panel in room 2, there are five letters - one in each room, and one in the passage between rooms 2 and 3. The letters are large and obvious. Room 1's letter is the couch. To see room 2's letter, turn around when you enter the room and stand on the chair, and look down. Room 3's letter is the table in the middle of the screen (uppercase). Lie down on the bed to see room 4's letter. The fifth letter, in the hallway with the rotating letters code panel, is on the left wall at the bottom. Use the screwdriver to open this box up and get the final letter.

After you do all this, head back to room 4 and click the code panel beside the door back to room 1. Enter the word formed from the letters,

SPACE

then go back to room 2 and open the wall panel again. Take the certificate, and enter the number you get from deciphering the five notes you gathered.

Look at any of the first four notes. Each one has a word at the top and a lot of gibberish at the bottom. Take the first letter of the word on each note and see if you see a pattern in it - connect the dots and they will form a number.

D = 8, K = 5, R = 1, S = 7

Then take the fifth note, plug in the numbers you got from the first four, and you get the code.

KS * DR = 57 * 81 = 4617
