The beads at the top are worth 5 and the lower ones are worth 1. They are only counted when they have been moved close to the central dividing bar. So the first abacus shows which is worth

Behind the dresser. Click to the left of it, and then between wall and dresser.
Use stick to get it.

You can't move the abacus, you need to "read" it, what numbers it represents.
