Yes, I had that also for the first time I played and I was puzzled...

factorial is not that everybody knows. I learned it but it didn't come in my mind - only after 30 minutes of desperate trying out other things.

I quickly thought of factorial (because code could not contains only one figure) but was never able to find out what VII did stand for (obviously not 7)

Anyway I died before realizing the bed use and got a different clue next time :-)

In this special game roman numerals and decimal numbers are not the same.
I could solve your puzzle, but I need to know how far the square root sign goes. Which numbers does it include? And the small v is that also a roman numeral?

Either it could be (square root of 4 + 12) x 4 + 5
Result would be 61
Or [square root of (4 + 12)] x 4 + 5
Result would be 21
But these results seem to be rather small. So is there also a number above another (the power of it)?

Some people have difficulties in finding the battery. It seems that the place can change. Possible places:

under the bed
on the floor between bed (head side) and wall
under the carpet
in the plant pot
between shelf and wall
in the small chest next to the bed

and it means(maybe) "VI = 5", "VII = 6", "I=7", "II=1", "III=3"...
but i didn't solve the quiz...

the wheel on the wall relates the chinese letter behind picture.
石 means Rock, 雨 means Rain, 森 means Forest, etc........
and in chinese, 石 means Friday(金=metal), 雨 means Wednesday(水=water)....
(and Mistery told us linking 水 to 4 in his article...)
but i don't know what the connetions means....
maybe when the letter on the wall is 雨, it will rains. (after you wake up...)

-I don't know the way to pour the water in the cup to the carpet...
(plz explain step by step what i have to do when zooming carpet view)

To get water into the cup:
You have to sleep until it rains. Then drag the glass on the carpet next to the bed where the water is dripping and the carpet is wet. Go to sleep again, the glass is filled and you can take it again.

To make the carpet wet:
Choose the glass in your inventory. Face the door. Click on the carpet, it will zoom. Click on the carpet until the little textbox asks you if you want to examine. Click on the first answer. Then click on the carpet and it will get wet and reveal the safe.

1. I solved first puzzle maths (19958?) so I got message on PDA.
2. And I solved second puzzle maths (2,7,9,3) so I opened first safe beside the bed.
and i got a something like a cell phone recharger...(green light on it) in the safe..

but there are some problems for me...
1. why the romans mean like that?
i have no idea about that connection without "v=4"
2. And i didn't make the carpet wet... here is my process...
- i filled the cup with dripped rainfall after napping.
- face the door... and zoom the blue carpet
(now... the scene is same when i got the battery)
- choose the cup in my inven.
- click "?" and click the cup zoomed
- japanese dialogue box appears.... click the top one.
- and nothing happens......
- repeat and try several times.....
- still nothing happens......

sorry about my poor english and sense...
help me once more....

You have to match the symbols which show up at the wall when the wheel is turned with their order I think:
I: "雨" = rain
II: "花" = flower
III: "石" = rock
IV: "光" = light
V: "水" = water
VI: "森" = wood
VII: "風" = wind

For the carpet. I think you did it right. But after you see the text box and click on the first answer (top), you have to click on the carpet again (try several times) so that it gets wet.

Should I be able to pick the gameboy thing up? because it just comes up with chinese writing at the bottom of the screen when I click on it
