How was the code for the box figured out. I

clicked on the button on the shelf and a few books turned yellow. But there is no code

Any help on the code please

It was a long time when I played this one so I don't remember the details. But post #30 might have what you're looking for.

count the yellow books from left to right and make note of the places they're in...

4, 8, 11, and 14...I just put the numbers together to get the code...

Walkthrough

~ Take key #1 from the right side of the christmas tree.
~ Click on the purple slipper. Take key #3.
~ Go left. Click inside the garbage. Take key # 8.
~ Go left twice. Click on the left side of the couch. Take key #6.
~ Click on the tablemat and take key# 4.
~ On the right side of the fireplace there is a knife, take it.
~ Use the knife on the top right side box of the fireplace. Take key # 7.
~ Go right. Click on the coathanger. Use the knife on the second hanger and get the screwdriver.
~ Use the screwdriver on the left door of the cabinet. Get key # 10 from the toys.
~ Use the screwdriver on the bottom drawer. Use the knife on the ball. Get key # 5.
~ Go right. Use the screwdriver on the two green spots that are above the desk. Turn on the lamp.
~ Click on the back of the desk to open a secret room. Enter the new room.
~ Click on the shelf. It will turn. Press the button.
~ The colour of the books will change. Note the placing of the yellow books. It's 4, 8, 11, 14. Put them all together and you get 481114.
~ Click on the blue box beside the table. Put the code on this box and open the side. Get key #2.
~ Use the screwdriver on the 2nd tile from right of the second last row. Get the grey key.
~ Come out of the secret room. Use the key on the grey box that is under the window.
~ Take key # 9. Go left and click on the door. You have escaped Locked Forever 8.

YEH I GOT 10!!!!!!! heres a walk through

1: look in the purple slipper
2:in the tree
3:go right and in the left side of the sofa click the slit
4:click the cloth on the table
5: to find the knife, look on the bottem right of the side of the fire place the knife blends in with the wall paper so have a good look
6pen the top right square on the chimney with the knife
7:go right andclick on the coat rack then with the knife click the 2nd circle and find the screwdriver
8: with the screwdriver, open the left cupbord and the bottem 1
9:find the key in the right side of the dolls and pop the ball with the knife
10:go right and find te bin, click the top of it
11:use the screwdriver on the green squares on the desk then click on the back wall of the desk and go through the black hole
12:with the screwdriver try and find the bit of floor that opens and you find a grey key
13:can you see the black box under the table? click it, and write in 481114 and open it at the side
14:go back out of the room and u see the grey box, open it with the grey key
15: go to the room with the door:
16:click the door and...

Got out but it was a very huge pixel hunt so I had to use a walkthrough and even then I had trouble finding some keys.
