Don't understand that *trigger* puzzle - well I thought I understood it, but it didn't work

Cant work out the trigger puzzle, also why you can zoom in on the lamp and waste basket. Nice graphics.

don't understand the "trigger" either. Just that....

drawer 1 and 3 are correct (if you change it, it wil change back once u pull the lever)

I'm stuck with 2 keys and a screwdriver - I can find many places to zoom into but cant work out if there's any reason for this and also have no idea about the trigger puzzle. I'm getting a little irritated so I'll try later.
