How are you trying to enter the code for the recycle bin? I use"enter", and clicking all over

enter number and drag key over lock.

Add the four numbers on the boxes, enter that as code and use key on lock...

out... thanks to hint with the key. never thought of that. Lock code had me fooled as well, place for 3 digits - therefore didnt think of

adding the numbers = 2 digits
