What I thought was the answer for the code with the letters is, indeed, the right code. It won't work, however, until the little TV is turned on.

I'm very disappointed that I figured out

WOOPP for the 5 digit code

, but when I tried it, nothing happened. Later, after getting completely stuck and consulting these hints for a few absolute non-sequitor clues, I got one that suggested my first thought was right. I tried it again and it worked. So why didn't it work before I found the clue?

Lots of views that seem to have no value. Puss in Boots - wasn't that a children's story or poem? Looks more like a Musketeer than Zorro.
Found trap door that I can not open yet.

have empty bottle & brown key. I tried key on door near shoes and left two drawers in first room - nothing. I looked and on and under table in second room - nothing. One ball in that room. Watched TV. looked at coat and shoes and light. Fireplace tha seems to blaze too high ... looked in empty squares on wall. (for scones?) ... Maybe too late.
