how do you solve the purple key puzzle thats the only one i dont understand how to sovle

i figured out it has something to do with 187 but thats it have no clue how to get the rest of the number

99 + 187=286 x .5=143 x 5=715 +187=902x .5=451 x 5=2255 so code is 451 2255

The puzzle under the green key is a Sudoku like puzzle..each row consists of 1234 and there are no doubles in one row..
The knife can be used

in the view with the painting, somewhere on a couch on the right

Yay...got that purple key all by my self.. finally..
and I am done...Very nice game again..
