there is a wrench behind the bookshelf to help you tighten the bolt.
you must use one of your 'goodies' to drag it out from behind the bookshelf.

PLEEEAAASSEEE!!!!!!! how do i open the blue door! please! and how do I get tha thing that can put the nut to its placeee!!! pleeeaaassseee help me!! i'm going crazy =P

to open the blue door you need the blue key. if i remember right, the blue key is in the tall cabinet. to open that you need the gold key. the gold key is in the box where the nut goes.

hey ive found the 5 balls (under the corners of the rug click there!) and the nut making them both spin, i got the numbers from the portrait, the mace and the aerial aswell as the clippers.

but...
does anyone know what the plug between the settees is posed to do

you need to take the cover off of the electrical outlet with the screwdriver.
screwdriver is somewhere on within the bookshelf.

I did it! Woohoo! Actually I cheated, and I feel a bit ashamed. After about half an hour I got too impatient so I went onto the forum thing and read how to do it. It was very frustrating trying to do it by myself.

But I can't open the door!.....

You don't have to move the bookshelf. You must use "TV Antenna" to drag the "wrench" out.
