I think the box

wasn't a toy box but a mould and the liquid wasn't water but some kind of liquid metal.

I am ready to give this one a rest. Some things bugging me are

The rainbow room is very dark but once the ladder is put up you can't get to the light switch any more

You don't need a password at all to open the grey safe so why is there a place to type in a code?

Many things you see in the beginning disappear and can't be accessed again. For example the codes on pages 52 of the book and the colors shapes on the gray safe doors.

Have been wondering about those things too RBS.

I just had to click

the red dot on the safe to open it

Have been clicking every view to see if there is some ceiling view, but there isn't.
Also examened every item and tried to combine them, but no luck as well.

Edit: I've been reading other forums, but they are stuck on the same place as we are.

buggy game ,restarted 3 times and dont get nail anymore where i got it the first time and getting the liquid seems impossible now

Just a thought, but maybe if we

just click the red spot on the safe, we won't get some item too? Like if you don't use the brick on the painting, you don't get the nail.

Looks like the bad ending is telling us the make the key stronger.

Weird!!!
I filled in

ORP (orange, red purple) as a code on the safe, and now I can't turn the red spot in to green anymore!
It could mean we indeed need to use some code. It might be a bug that we can open it without a code...

Once I selected the

normal hammer, I was still able to open the safe.

Looks we need some kind of

card in stead of a key to open this door

The unfold box just shows where to find

the book with the button inside.
Above this book is a grey book, left beside it is a light blue book and right beside and below the book is a blue book
After that you get the button to press, which make the keyhole appear, which will give you the ladder after using the key
