every other number in the pattern is increasing by one. so the next after 4 is 5. to get 18 look at the pattern of each number. 1+8=9, so the next two blocks are 2 9. 2+9=11 so the next two are 3 11. 3+11=14, so 4 14. and finally 4+14=18 so 5 18.

well, I found the key and opened the drawer. I got a paper with a riddle on it from the drawer. Carlos says the answer shoul be a code for some puzzle in the mansion, but I have no idea which one.

I solved 5of 8 puzzles, The remaining ones are the chess puzzle (Carlos says I should open the computer for that), the computer password (related to birthday?) and the puzzle with the purple shapes (I found two of those purple shapes, where are the other two?).

Does anybody know anything about the computer pass?

for the computer you should go to upstairs. Go left from the fireplace, follow the hall and turn right, then you'll see the stairs.
