I had a hard time with it too. Dunno what I did to trigger it but it just went. I think it turned red on her back, just below the head, maybe part of the head was inside circle. I remember it being slightly to the left as well.

It only lets you use certain items at the right time. Trying tabbing around to see what else is clickable.
