ok i put the symbols i have (like u said) in the russian letter box but nowt happened!

enter the first three symbols into the round box type thing that has the card symbols on it, enter them in order that you have them, then press the center button, then when you do that you get a box that hs russian symbols on it, thats the second set of three symbols, enter those in the order you have them and you get another box that has the final three symbols on it, enter those in order and you are done

walkthrough

puzzle #1 : the "he" she is referring to is guy fawkes, who in the second part of the puzzle went by john johnson, so the answer for the second part is johnson. then for the last part, match the name johnson with the corresponding symbol.

puzzle #2 : when you click on the "what does the winners destiny involve?" line, shell ask you about the animals in the picture, the lion and the unicorn, which represent England an Scotland, then when she asks what symbol has to do with the destiny, click the stone, then click its corresponding symbol and you have solved that puzzle.

puzzle #3 : now when you click on the poem/verse, shell ask about a place, type in london, then when she talks about the piece of paper being burnt and what couldve burnt it type in london fire, then shell ask about the pillar type in london monument, then close the book, and turn off the light on the desk and go back to the book, and use the UV lightpen on the page and youll see a map of london, its only a partial one though, on the map you have to locate the london monument, which on the map you find the bridge at the bottom( the singled out road) then go up one street to the intersection then turn right where there is a hard to make out circl, thats the monument, take and click the symbol it goes with and thats the end of that puzzle.

mini-puzzle : to open the briefcase, look at the green books on the right shelf and only the right shelf, and count each set of green books on the shelf, if there are no green books, that means zero, then enter the numbers into the case and, boom, youve got the next set of puzzles and a key, use the key to open the desk drawer and get the final set of puzzles

puzzle #4 : when you click on the poem verse on the top of the page, shell ask you what poem it is from, type in "dreamland" and youll get the next clue, on the second clue, shell ask you about a place called sundown, which is located in lincoln county, nevada, so type in licoln and you get the next clue, now shell ask about a lake nearby, type in groom lake or just groom, and shell ask about a number that goes with that lake, which the lake is also known as area 51, so click 51 and click the corresponding symbol and youve solved that puzzle.

puzzle #5 : now when you click on the poem verse on the page, shell ask about the initials E.A.P., which stand for edgar allen poe, so type that name (or just type in poe which worked for me) in and she'll move to the next clue, shell begin talking about the poems original name which is "dreamland" and says that you have to look deeper, so find the deepest part of the ocean which is Mariana Trench, but just type in mariana, and shell move on, now shell talk about the word mire, which means swampy, well the word is an anagram, so type in the word rime, and shell move on, now she talks about another type of rime which is about The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, so type that in and shell go to the next clue, now she talks about the poem and stuff, but she asks which symbol goes with the clues you have which is keel, so type that in and click on the symbol next to it and that puzzle is done.


Puzzle #6 : now when you click on the nursery rhyme about the king and queen, shell ask what clues on the page have to do with it, the blackbird, so type in blackbird and shell move on, now shell ask you to find a 4 and 20 on the page, which has to do with the gird with the russian cities on it, now at X20 and Y4 is the city of Ekaterinburg, so tyoe in the cities translated name thats written on the bottom of the page and shell move on, now she asks what so important about that city, which is where an american U2 plane was shot down, so type in U2 and shell move on, now shell talk about the professors blog and about having a link to a chess game site which posts results of chess games won, now youll have to find out where Mikhail Tals king ended up, which is on F 6, but that has nothing to do with the answer so find the Y9 and go straight to the right till find the city with the big red N, then click on that and that puzzles now done.

Puzzle #7 : now when you start this puzzle, there is a wrongfully scaled map of the us and the word SOS, when you click on that shell say what i just said and ask if it is about something else, so type in sosus and shell move on, now shell talk about whos cover story is the verse referring to, type in CIA and shell move on, now when she asks what that has to do with the yatchs, type in the name jennifer and shell move on and ask what symbol does that boat "jennifer" not have, just click on the missing symbol and youll have solved that puzzle.

Puzzle #8 : now when you first turn to this page, youll see the picture of the big ear, click on it and shell ask what it has to do with the constellation pictures, type in big ear which is a sort of telescope, and shell move on, now shell ask what the "wow" has to do with this, so type in wow signal and shell move on, now like with the london monument, you have to close the book, turn off the lamp and go back to the book and use the UV light on the book, now youll see a poem that is written in 1337 (leet) speak and it reads "who saw him die?""I," said the fly, "with my little eye, I saw him die", now once you put away the UV light, shell ask what the poem has to do with the constellations, so type in arrow and shell move on, now you must find which picture is the picture of sagitarius, the archer, which is in the top left corner, once you click on it youll get the symbol that goes with that picture and youll have solved the puzzle. now turn the light back on and get back to the regular work.

final puzzle, puzzle #9 : now when you go to this page, you see three highlighted letters which are parts of different nursery rhymes, now shell ask what they all have in common, itsy bitsy spider is a sun, the owl and the pussy has a ring, and hickory dickory dock has a clock, which are all circles, so type in circle and shell move on, now shell start talking about the line below the rhymes which says " what starts off small, but goes on forever", which is now talking about math so type in pi and shell move on, now shell ask if you know the value, and since youre getting a walkthrough, thats a big yes, the value of pi is 3.1415, so type that in and shell move on, now shell be talking about the Nth degree, which i have no idea what the F**k that is, but just type in the number five and shell move on, now shell ask you to find which of the companies goes with the number five, and seeing as how theres only two five in the whole chart, its pretty easy to choose one, so choose the worldtalk symbol and you have finished the last puzzle of the game, now pat yourself on the back and kick yourself in the nuts for spending probably the last two days of you life playing this game.

Hey Vito - thanks for the walk through - figured out most of it on my own, but glad for your help.

Ever hear of the expression - to the Nth degree? Meaning, it keeps going and going - which is why she talks about the company logo - which is the symbol for infinity - you may not have wanted to know that, but you do now

its bin a bugger puzzle 2 i carnt solve it ive got da other ones but it keeps sayin " the lion and the unicorn were fighting for the crown in the nursury rhymebut how dose this tie in with the question? witch one of the other objects has something to do with destany" and whatever i put it just sez i seem to recall heraldry the lion represent england ect ect... sum one please help

Hi can anyone help, i'm stuck on the 1st and the 3rd puzzles in the 2nd notebook. i can't find anything about the place you have to look for, and the significance of the place in the 3rd puzzle is also eluding me. Thanks.
