how do i open the briefcase? ive read the hidden history about the books and ive tried evry combination but it wont open? do i have to solve the one with roman symbols first?

Count how many green books there are in each of the three rows on the right bookshelf. Say there are 4 green books on the frist shelf, that is the first number of the briefcase, and so on...
