The directions per line belong together to 1 direction each

I can't figure out that button puzzle, even by looking @ your spoiler..

I don't remember the directions anymore, but

NW would be the button between N and W;
NNE would be the next button to N to the right

No, I don't think I have, and if I remember well, I had also other items that I didn't use.

This is so frustrating. I've got so far without help and now I just cannot enter the numbers to free Elvis! I have the code but, when I enter the numbers, nothing happens. What am I missing?
These are really cute games, though.
