Actually after restarting I found you can sell excess things if you dont need them (and buy them back at double the price later??)

No clue on the fountain. I tried to toss a coin in... zip.

Found SEVERAL uses for hammer:

- knock over "robot" in alley
- smash half sphere under colonnade (left of entrance to Memorial Park)
- opens lock on chest
- smashes lightbulbs

EDIT: JUST GOT PAST THE GUARDS !!

...and got 6th gear.

How did you go past the guards?

And did you use the mechanical crank somewhere?

Guards:

give sleeping pill to the guy who is selling passes for WAY to much money... you'll see what happens

Crank:

goes in the old camera thing, in one of the alleys

Am out of hospital and just exploring.
Managed to give away my hose
Finally used my hammer x3 breaking locks, vases and vending machines? but not yet the valve!?
And have 6 gears, 3 tarot cards and 2 chinese puzzle pieces
And cant find any puzzles but I am just getting warmed up
Going back inside hospital for drugs!
POP found and solve 3 gear puzzles - used two gears each and got sparks then my first orb!
Used sleeping pills - got a new hat
Passed guards...

I've got a bunch of stuff so far and made some progress, but now I seem to be stuck

in this never-ending house-painting thing.
