I'm blocked in the first chapter after visiting On?sime's study, I go out and according to the walkthrough I should find the custodian to go to the laboratory, but he's not outside... some one can tell me why? thanks!

Ps: I went back to canches's study too but when I go to hexilles the custodian seems to be disappearead!
