The game proved to be very short and simple in the end...
Got a new assignment - a kidnapping but this must be in the next installment because the game ended after this assigment ended.

Tried this game yesterday without luck but now have found out the key to it gameplay. It is that you first need to have a reason for looking or doing something before it will work e.g. the key - can only get it after you find a clue hinting where/how something maybe hidden.

The only objects you need to finish are key and knife and then to find his hiding spot!

I look forward to the further installments which I hope are much longer and more complex! Good luck.

the answer is quite simple

you use the knife to open the secret hiding spot(which is underneath the rug in the room)
