I know this game is old now, but:

Yes, the batteries are glitched. I got the first 3 and i got the fourth... Guess What? You STILL Have 3! I didnt use a single one, and yet it looks like i DIDNT collect the 4th battery when i did. Because of this, i had to refresh and do the whole thing all over again... Major problem there.

Still, its a good game, and Renegade is getting very good at making these games as well.

Edit: I KNOW HOW TO FIX IT!

What you have to do is, when you have the clock and the first 3 batteries, you HAVE to put them in BEFORE you get the 4th. THEN when you do that, grab the 4th. It should be in your inventory this time. Then just put it in the clock, put it above Trudy's head and then hit it with stick. The End

So yea... after writing this, i have completed this game... yay.

I keep getting stuck right after

I give the fruit to the boar. I can't click to continue down the path and no man shows up with a shovel. Is it a glitch?...

I restarted and I have noticed that when you unlock the gate to the castle, you SHOULD NOT click on the boar. Use the FRUIT to get past him RIGHT AWAY. I had a problem because I clicked on the boar a few times and read the dialogue. Then when I gave him the fruit, the game glitched and I could not move ahead on the path....
