Got a problem now

vine(rope) won't attach to bucket

Got it finally, and done. Ok puzzles, depressing story.

RBS:

you don't have to attach the vine to the bucket. The bucket combined with the vine turns into green slime. Just put the vine on the bucket and the bucket disappears

Use the

vine on the bucket

and then the

window cleaner on the slimy stuff

Once you get the item from that, it's pretty straightforward from then on.

It's important to combine/click around on things in your menu. If you do that, this game goes quite fast.
