If the code for the red box is different each time, then how about a hint as to how to work out the code......i've tried the periodic tables, element numbers, adding subtracting dividing.........i'm stuck....plz help

The Red Box

If I'm not mistaken, the chart that shows the symbols and the numbers helps you open the red box...it goes counter clock-wise and you have to add the numbers to get the Symbol-Number... 1 + 1 = 2 ; 2 +3 = 5 etc... Hope that helps...

I still can't find the dang rod

Wolfman, that's for the "safe" in the wall you do the thing with the Fibonacci numbers (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8...). The red box they're talking about is the one in the bottom drawer in the dark room, where you're supposed to enter a 6 digit code and there are some roman numerals above each digit

The rod

is at the shelves where you can see 2 books, a blue bottle, a strange looking clock and a small box with a slot in it. The rod is to the left of the shelves, leaning up against them.

Tistania, pretty much none of us know how to open the red box or how to figure the code out, so for now the only way to get out is by the fire.

Well, I'm a bit stuck as well.

Got the marker, paper, hammer, magnifying glass, tripod, crumpled paper, rod, step ladder, note, and the key.

Things to think on include: The ?safe? in the corner (ground) of the room you start in. The red box in the desk. And the elevator/keycode...

I haven't found a use for the stepladder or the note (which seems to be ?math? in a foreign language).

I am able to use the magnifying glass on the paper (blackened) but all it seems to do is smoke...

I'm thinking we need to decipher the note that was on the wall in the hidden room. I'm guessing its a code for something.

Update, searched some other sites...:

i = 1, ii= 2, iii= 2
I = 2, II=1, III=2
(the numbers of symbols in their row/column, on the keyboard that gave you access to the hidden room...)

Ok, the key from red box goes to elevator, that code is a bit harder, had to get translation, check this site for help.

K, so this is really wierd, but I just started putting symbols randomly on the numbers, and the music and picture came on...did I solve it? Or lose? Also, where is this mysterious "dark room" located to find the "rod"?

I think the symbols are like algebra. The star = the square - 5, or what ever. So, you start on the square and go backwards 5 spots and the number you land on is what that symbol is.

I am probably wrong, but I have done it three times that way and have ended up looking up with the music...but, I may be losing and not winning. I only speak English.
