walkthrough

You are facing the exit door.
Examine the vase on the left to zoom in, tilt it up and recieve a key.
Zoom back and turn right twice.
Forward through into the hall where the little buggers will run away.
Turn left and examine the bookcase.
I don't know if it's important, but I read the book.
Turn left twice.
Drag your key to the rolltop desk.
Release ghost #1 and take the sassafrass.
Click on Shiva's (not enough arms, yet) right teat. I've tried clicking everywhere else, it seems to be just there.
Recieve the blue key.
Unzoom and turn left.
Forward to the dining room.
Turn right, that chest will come in later.
You are in the kitchen.
Take the knife on the right.
Open the refrigerator.
Release ghost #2 and take the ribs mmmm ribs.
Close the frige with the lower right arrow and turn left twice.
Forward through to the other hall.
Turn left.
Forward through to the next hall.
On the shelves, take the cricket cage and read the book on the left.
Forward to the bedroom.
Turn right.
Click on the table and solve the memory problem.
Take the doorknob.
Turn left.
Forward to exit the bedroom.
Turn left.
Take the planchette off the windowsill.
Turn right twice.
Open the sink's doors.
Release ghost #3
Exit the bathroom.
If you are facing two shelves and a door, turn around.
Forward to the hall.
Examine the blood on the right.
Examine the green paper the dead guy is holding.
Turn right.
Forward through the door to the right.
Forward again through the door to the right of the kitchen.
Turn left, then forward.
Examine the potted plant on the right.
Tilt it up and catch the cricket with the cage.
Turn right.
Open the chest with the blue key.
Release ghost #4 and take blue crystal.
Turn right, then forward to the hall.
Turn left and cut the chair with the knife.
Click on the cut to recieve the purple crystal.
Turn right twice, then forward to the chest.
Turn left and examine the Ouja board.
Use the planchette on the board and then click on it.
It will draw out "12 75 63 57 79 26 34"
These are coordinates in reverse form (YX instead of XY) for the chest.
Hit "Good Bye"
Turn Right
Hit the coresponding drawers that the numbers indicate.
Take the crystal and release ghost #5.
Go back to 1st room where you came from,
Turn to face wall with nothing.
Place doorknob on the wall and release ghost #6
Go back to fireplace
Place the white crystal on the mantle.
Place the purple crystal in the right hand stand.
Place the blue crystal in the left hand stand.
when the demon stop talking, place the ribs, cage and herbs into the fire.

For some reason the purple crystal disappear out of my inventory and I can't find it anymore. Any hints?

Finally I found the purple crystal back, it was indeed a trick. But Now I am still stuck. I have placed the crystals, saw the devil and now I got the three crystals back and still can't get out of the house.

You got them back? You must be missing one of the three things mentioned in the book. Is your cage empty?

And I just got through the game, admittedly by following the walkthrough. I had been so close to finishing the game by myself yesterday, damnit!

I only have the planchette of the ouija board, the knife and the three crystals left.

Btw I have done everything what's described in the walkthrough, but I think it's not the end.

That sounds very very strange...did you have the plant, the rib and the cricket previously?

Yes, I did, if you mean with the pant, the bundle of mushrooms(?).

Umm..it's called sassafras, that's probably what you're describing, yes. All I can really suggest is for you to restart the game and follow the tutorial letter for letter

But I have done everything what is written in the walkthrough. The devil in the fire place is gone. I am only not able to get out of the house. But I am not certain if I must get out of the house, maybe I have already finished the game. Has this game a clear ending anyway?

Edit: I found the door knob on the dressoir again. Maybe there's another secret door.

You haven't used the doorknob yet? Then that explains it, you need to let out 6 ghosts in total, and the use of the doorknob is mentioned in the walkthrough
