How the heck do you repair the cylinder where the smoke builds up inside?

Change the exhaust valve.
Not all valves work...

I have put all working parts in but when I put the engine in the kart it just shows me the screen with a busted kart at the starting line.

Where is this alleged go-kart I'm fixing?

On like the tenth try, I finally got the stupid engine working - pretty quick, too. Then I ran out of time trying to figure out what to do with it. How do I put the engine in the dumb go-kart? And for that matter, like the title says - where IS the go-kart? Is it the yellow thing next to the engine?

it's pretty simple actually...to get the engine working

you must replace the malfunctioning parts. check to make sure none of the pistons move wobbly, that all the spark plugs spark and that both valves move in and out. Some parts around the shop are faulty so you may have to change them several times for it to work properly.

I pretty much know what i'm looking for and what to replace.
But there aren't enough parts...I can never find enough pistons...

Edit: I found some extra parts that i hadn't seen..
I'm sure i've done it right twice now and it still comes up with the picture of the broken kart at the start line...Hmm..

Bug????

I wonder if this level has a bug. I spent ages on it yesterday and I'm sure the engine worked correctly, there is a change in sound when it's running right. This morning did the same thing and it worked. Strange.
