Actually it's not easy. I think I worked about 3 things out on my own.
I didn't even work out how to get out of the cage myself.
Wouldn't have completed it without the walkthrough

The goal of the game is to help the hamster get that bottle of seeds, NOT to free the hamster. That's just the beginning.
Pen balloon and fork:

Use the fork to open the drawer THEN use it (now with a bent prong) to get the rubber bands. The pen cap stuck to the ballon will help you later. There should be a peice of paper, that you should tape together.

elastic band:

As I said, use the fork to first open the drawer, then hook the get the elastic bands with the same fork.

TIP:

The thing you get from the drawer is used to get another object when you stand on the ruler. Think of a converyer belt...

how do you get out?

Look at post 46 for a complete walkthrough but if you're asking how to just get out of the main cage you have to.....

Click on the paperclip that is to the left of the tube coming out of the cage. It's attatched to the paper.

Look through the pages.
When i did last time(a few months ago lol) it had a complete walk through in it.
If you need it then use it. Also if you flick around the pages you may find some hints and tips instead of a full walkthrough so you dont have to see everything so it doesnt spoil your game.

And the person said use the ruler as a bridge to get across.
