in second scene at the bottom of the scene is a stick very hard to see, oh and get key from bird in first scene

Sue, in the

village scene, there's a large tree off to the right. On that tree is a stick. Grab the stick and use it on the nest in the first scene.

ok i've put the idol on the colum thingie, i have nothing in my inventory so wot do i do now? i've looked everywhere and cant seem to do anything apart from click on useless things :-( please help me out!
