Does anybody know how to proceed in this game? I got downstairs and got a lamp, but that's how far I got so far. Please some help?

When you're in the room with the piano, check out the large painting hanging high up on the wall.

Zoom in on it, then click the top right corner of the screen. There's a door hidden behind the staircase that leads to a lower level. Hint: pay attention to the sounds you hear as you're going down this new staircase.
