You know, I used to be a Paleontologist...
...and I found this boring.
Nice that it's trying to be educational, but you just gotta handle rocks and fossils to make them interesting...
Oh, and the carbon-dating thing...
The fact is, everyone has heard of carbon dating as a way to determine the age of "old things". Explaining the difference between carbon isotope dating and uranium isotope dating probably took too much time (though the way they explained things, you think they would have.)
Common misconception. I've found that most people don't know, don't care, or their eyes start to glaze over when you explain it...
