OK,,,,, You need to enter the museum.
Speak to the manager guy and he will tell you that you can use his laboratory which is on the right as you enter the museum.

You can use the laboratory work bench to do your "cooking" (dont know if thats the correct term)

you need an empty bottle to get the gas, there is one in the small room in the abbey (that one is actually for the wine), one in the shack where the gas barrel is and one in the house near the church.

the map on the railway - you must take a photo of it.
