I'm still not getting the dark/light squares puzzle. I've read the previous posts, and it's not working for me.

can anyone give me any hints/help? I can't even figure out how to start the first puzzles. I'm guessing there's some kind of pattern there, but I can't figure out what or what I'm supposed to do.

I got the one left of the door. But then? I even don't understand . Are you talking about the same game? Which paper? Locker?
Managed to get out anyway but I would like to do the puzzles as well
