Forget the bar. Go into shop, when he asks you for "money" (nuts) click on hamster then click on his face when you see him close up.Comment

Seems a bit random. I changed 1 to white, tried to get through and failed. Same with the other. Then did both a couple of times and eventually got through!Comment
