Hello Im Toobs from Argentina.
I play this game, but I finish the game with one empty slot and 2 items (gold flake and emerald green snack).
Searching in another forum I find an aswer for this.

Wow. I found an alternative ending.
After you put in the orb, return down and pet the cat once and then pull it's tail. It will then wake up, and you can feed it with the emerald snack. Then it goes into the space ship and call for help, and you get rescued by a boat at the place with the bamboos.

But that doesn't seem to work for me

Any idea?
