I got both sites to load for me(using both Firefox and IE). Yes, it does take awhile.

Take the

fire (not the candle, the two sticks)

and use that on the skull. You have to do it a few times before it gives up the goods.

Did you use the

knife on the rope and use the rope on the picture again - and then the knife on the rope one more time? You should have an X on the picture

After you do that, you can

use the crown on the picture - but turn the crown a few times, or you'll die

found you can beat the suit of armour with the thin stick and change the picture by pressing the shell bottom middle of picture
