So far I have

Found eight differences in the two statues, gotten something from the vending machines, put the puzzle together with the cheerleader(?), Found a pen, a piece of paper, an envelope, sent a letter, found a key and melted the ice off of it.

Now I'm stuck. I am stuck

with the phone call(s?), and the Happy Clover place machine

I am missing

What looks like a key and the thing at the very end of my "Tools"

This is pretty good for me, since I tend to get stuck early on. This is a fun game, though, and I enjoy playing them a lot.

I can only find 7 differences on the statues

the eye, the finger, the hat, the white thingy, the other thingy on the ground, the name and the little piece missing in the fundament

what am I missing?

I actually finished twice without needing the other website or the two missing items. Hmmm....
