Hey all, first time posting in LL. Nice to meet you all.

Now, on to business...

I'm in and fairly confused, but I think I'm headed the right direction on one of the puzzles. Let me know what you think.

I'm in the lab and working on the puzzle all the way to the right.

There are two sets of symbols: the four "basic elements" and more complex elements. As you'll recall, the four "basic elements" are earth, water, air and fire (the fifth element is love, in case you couldn't figure that out from the movie). Each of the four basic elements is represented by one of four triangle. They are:

Down-Strike = Earth (amber)
Down = Water (green)
Up-Strike = Air (blue)
Up = Fire (red)

I counted eighteen complex elements. I'm not going to try to describe their symbols (I'll let you handle that), but I will list their names and atomic weights.

So here's my hypothesis:
The complex element symbols on the four cards tell you which numbers to use and the basic elements tell you how to manipulate them (i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide). My hypothesis states that if you manipulate the numbers correctly, the result will be the number listed in the gray box on the right-hand side.

What still puzzles me is why the planet names are included, but this might just be a red herring.

second word is a bit trickier

i dint no wat word was so i searched it in dictionary dot com. It starts with CL

Sorry, I was away for a bit b/c I went on an "atomic weight" search... I found out it is "atomic mass." I still am stuck after this search and I don't get what ya all were talking about either?

ok, well i finished it with the two words they gave us all OneBun, so just type in the two words

avalanche on the top line, and cloister on the bottom line

and remove the dashes! Ok? Once u do that then click on the door handle, and you're in the last room. Then click on what you're trying to fin din the first place, and you're done! ok? Talk soon on another game OneBun! bye!

You take the 4 Basic Elements and see how they combine in the puzzle for the planetary metals!!!! The atomic theories given earlier do not apply here!

I think it is important to note that the second puzzle was different for me probably because I entered the building through the window...not the door.

Mine, too! My favorite games are those with intellectual puzzles like Obion and Myst.
