Look at it in the "about item" and you'll notice it has two tools you can use. One of them are scissors. Isn't there something on one of those screens you can cut?

Is the rifle something your supposed to be able to click and pick up or do you have to do something to get it?
I have the small cork but can't seem to get the rifle

Edit: Nevermind, I done it by

cutting the strings holding the rice and feeding the bird which then flys away and knocks it down.
