Yeah, you just have to keep trying at the ax. I finally got past it eventually and I'm pretty impatient. I lost all patience at the final spider combat scene. It least I think it was the final one. I gave up after several tries...

Other than that it was a very nice game! I'm just not a big fan of shooter challenges in general.

well...from the sounds of the posts already, I think I'm going to just stop here, b/c I am also not a fan of having to shoot things to get out, let alone being deathly afraid of spiders...so, while it looks like a cool game...I quit...

Well, it has plenty of other nice features-secret rooms, lot's of treasures to dig up and puzzles that won't fry your brain, very nice graphics. Another nice thing is that if you die by decapitation or spider, at least you only have to restart at the beginning of that particular challenge and not restart the whole game.

I found the secret to getting past the axes is

waiting until they are at the very top of their arc, and you can get past them.

The Highscore table is just an in-game system with some preset scores that are easy to beat ;-)

Yeah, I was about to say. Some of the people here had higher scores than I did, yet it said I was #1. I guess it's an ego boost, lol.
