what device library did you choose fris? launchers, hangers, rollers, or cutters? at the kitchen and the living room? I had try too many time to solve it for long time ago.
It doesn't matter what you use, really, the trick is just to work around the furniture, since the different things have different length, it's like navigating through a maze. And you can seemingly also use anything for when you reach the cage

How the heck do you cut the rope? I have cutters aimed at the stupid thing and no matter how long or short they are it never works. Is there a certain spot you need to be coming from or something?

Well you need to make sure that every machine is connected to the next one. If you can see a path of arrows going all the way to the rope, your trap should work fine. The trick is to place the next machine on the square where the previous machine's arrow is pointing towards

It all works up to that point. The cutter works, it just doesn't cut the rope, no matter where I put it or what cutter I use, if it doesn't give me a red line meaning it can't go there, then it seems to either fall short or hit the cage - that's why I thought that maybe the cutter had to go in a certain spot.
