This is quite a famous puzzle. Unfortunately it's a mean puzzle, as it is completely unsolvable, UNLESS you place the houses on a torus. But obviously you can't do that in this game, hence it can't be solved.

Hi all! Don't try to complete this one, actually it can be proved that it can't be done. Unfortunately my English isn't that good at math that I could write why but it can't be done.

I'm kinda annoyed the impossible puzzle's up here.. I mean, if I didn't know the math behind it I'd probably have a go at trying to solve it. All that effort's fruitless....

It really is impossible. Is is a classic graph problem. I just don't know why somenone would do an impossible game

Yes it's impossible without cheat but only in 2D, in 3D no problem

Actually, it is quite possible. Someone at my school showed me how to complete it. He even written it on paper and showed it to me first hand. I didn't keep the paper, didn't know there was gonna be an online puzzle for it. I even checked his paper and none of the lines crossed. It was completely solved.

Man, if there is a guy in your school who did that, take him to any university to be a mathematician genius, because this problem is truly a classic graph theory problem called planar graphs.
This case, the water-gas-electricity with three houses, is not a planar graph, which means that the solution is impossible in the 2D plane.

The only way to solve this on paper is to punch a hole through the paper, draw one of your lines up to the hole, and then continue it on the other side of the paper. I would not recommend trying this solution on your monitor, though.
