just trace the white path. No need to hold down the mouse though.

I traced the white line, clicked the man dragged him to the top and then nothing happens and if i go outside it i die? arrrgg.....

wow you guys are good... I am stuck at the point after the "So what now?" one - the blue button in the lower right throws me back to the save point.... I'm guessing I have to type in something else?

I cheated on the red sea.

When you right click you can safely move around. One you got the friend and hold it you can move around safe.

edit:

Move the friend around and find a spot where he goes under.. Then let him go.
