One thing I thought about last night was that everyone has the same numbered tiles, although in different configurations. But everyone as different pips. So I took the pips and changed them into binaries, but they came up with wrong answers.

As for the configuration, I keep coming back to the idea that, if they are taken in some kind of order, I see a backward S. Starting from the end of the hook, then snaking around in the backward S form. It looks to me that the way they have arranged the blocks, that you must make the turn to the left to go around the top left side of the loop. I have no idea if this is important, just wanted to voice it and see what anyone else thought.

Along that idea, I took the binaries and made them one long string, then converted it to B10. Wrong again.

EDIT: I just saw a picture of another A. It has tiles clustered all around the loop, so the backward S does not look apparent.

Perhaps the pips tell us that we must add a number of tiles to that particular combination. So one blue tile, one red tile with a 1 pip, one blue tile, would mean that instead of one red tile, there would be two next to each other, i.e. one extra.

Also puzzelguy, I agree with your notion.

It seems to me that there is a line or order to the tiles, that follows how you would write the lowercase a. And since the placements of the tiles are different on each picture, I too have found this to be significant. But I can't link it together with anything concrete.

Agreed. I am not sure about the order anymore myself after seeing Tedskyjam's A. PMed you and ThemePark about it.

Worked with that idea and some variations to it, but it didn't work out for me. PMed you my results.

And that leaves me being completely stuck. Like said I am more and more convinced that the solution isn't 14 letters. But pairing them up doesn't seems to work either. Stuck stuck stuck!!!

My very last idea failed too.

In example..
101 ~ 5 pips 1st square
101 = 5 (decimal)
5 = Five, first letter of five = F
F+5 = 6+5 = 11 = K

On another note, if you compare the pips of the A's, amount and position, there seems to be some cohesion.

Seen two times:
100 ~ 4 pips 1st square
1000 ~ 1 pip 1st square
10 ~ 1 pip 1st square
1100 ~ 1 pip 2nd square

Seen one time:
101 ~ 1 pip 2nd square
101 ~ 5 pips 1st square

11 ~ 4 pips 1st square
1011 ~ 5 pips 1st square
1110 ~ 1 pip 3rd square
1101 ~ 1 pip 4th square

I am sure everyone noticed this already, but perhaps every tile can really only have one certain amount of pips. Minime brought up this idea. It looks very complicated to me, but perhaps it's possible to figure out the logic.

I must say I am pretty much relieved.

EDIT:
I asked the creators a few questions to decrease the total of possibilities

1) Is the order of the binary on the A important? If yes, it only logical possible order is from top left corner to bottom right, then going a bit up and follow the curve to above.

2) Is converting the binary to decimal part of solving this question?

3) Do we need to work with all 14 binary strings or only the ones that have pips?

4) The position of the pips on a binary is essential to solve the question, right? (One of the ideas was that the position would tell we either need the side of the "dice" we see or the reversed side).

1. Not important.
2. Yes.
3. Only those with pips.
4. No dice involved.

EDIT: GOT IT!!
It's really really simple, the answer has been staring at us all the time, but we just didn't saw it because we made it seriously far too complex.

I'm really stuck on Q34, it's the sundial code one. I have a complete mental block and can't get anywhere! So frustrating!

What I'm working with at the moment: (Spoiler - in case I give away too much for people who haven't attempted it yet)

The 450-400, 590-560, 630-590 etc. somehow correspond to the visible spectrum? But then why don't they match the actual values? Eg, violet being 380-450?

I assume you plot the 6 missing numbers on the grid, as 1,2,3 or 4 is missing from each 1-9 series and 1-4 are the only numbers on the grid.

This hasn't helped me at all though, I have no idea how to 'dial' this and have already wasted quite a few IPS Am I overlooking something really obvious?

Any nudges (or shoves) in the right direction are appreciated

I don't what you precisely mean what actually vlues, but

it's enough to know what value corresponds with what color.
