I have even taken the picture to OCR and broken the letters down and can't figure it out. I'm thinking maybe there is something about the box itself?

have any of you read "the davinci code" already???i'm reading it and there is a part that i think that might help us....
we use an alphabet like this:

a b c d e f g h i j k l m
n o p q r s t u v w x y z

we replace some letter for the letter that is on the opposite side:
for example: we put "n" replacing "a" or "a" replacing "n"; "b" replacing "o" or "o" replacing "b"...................
maybe that help us a bit....

hi guy's, i'm back again. sorry i got sidetracked, but i'm at work and it's hard to concentrate on this puzzle and answer ridiculous questions by the numpty's i work with.

I read it too, but it sure is hit and miss. I can't find any logic to suggest any certain pattern, but I already had searched and replaced some text to no avail.
