  • Well, I suppose that's true. I tried to do as much of it by myself as possible but I needed some help with the punch card one, the speckle one, and the big block of text.

    • Hey everyone,
      I'm stuck on number 26
I have found the answer but I can't figure out the answer.

Um...Well...I decoded it but I can't figure out the number. I know it's some where between 11,111 and 32,000. I really could use a clue or a narrower range of numbers.

                • I would've wrote a program for that one but I only know Visual Basic and I don't have that on this computer.

If you already know BASIC, then SiMPLE should be a snap for you. (SiMPLE is very similar to BASIC... and SiMPLE is totally FREE!

Another option is to use JavaScript. That's available in every web browser.

Either way, the answer is not all that difficult to find.

                      • I tried downloading simple but when it went to install it said the system file isn't suitable for running MS-DOS and window applications.

I have Windows XP. I have no idea what the problem is, i've never seen that error screen before.

Four years ago I created the Cybertrek game (which may well have been the very first "online riddle", predating even "notpr0n" and its followers). The game was actually a story (complete with dialog and plot) in which you solved puzzles that took you to different websites in order to get to the next page of the story. The Web-Hopper riddle (and all of my other online riddles) are just extensions of the Cybertrek idea... but without a story line. (Hey, why should I waste time writing a story if the only thing everyone wants are puzzle questions! )
