I've been fishing for days. I guess the red herrings are just not biting!

Internet ads can be very annoying. It seems the less desirable the product, the more invasive the ad. Wouldn't it be nicer if the advertisers were to buy placement from website owners rather than advertising companies. That way, the website owner could choose what sort of ad they wished to be placed on their site. It would also render adblocking programs useless. Alas, this has yet to happen!
